Labor Relations Instructor
After a twenty- year leadership role in the Lancaster, Pennsylvania School District and various Boards of Directors, Timothea “Timi” Kirchner was recruited by the County of Lancaster to serve as its Chief Executive Officer for eight years. She was successfully recruited by the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development and private sector firms to consult with clients on various operational and leadership issues. She most recently served as the Manager of the Borough of Lansdale in Montgomery County Pennsylvania.
In her leadership and consulting roles, Timi has vast experience with shepherding organizations through the change process toward more efficient and effective operations. Her key to successful organizational change is to fully engage all levels of the organization in the assessment and the resultant change process. The product becomes theirs, and has a better chance of success. She has conducted a number of operations assessments and executive searches throughout her career. She is certified to use The Team Diagnostic Survey, an instrument that is based explicitly on existing research and theory about the conditions that foster team effectiveness. She believes strongly that a comprehensive study of the organization, its staff and its leaders is a necessary pre-requisite to a success of any organizational effort. Through her guidance, organizations work to discover their strengths, weaknesses and opportunities on their way to better operations and highly successful outcomes.
Timi is a graduate of the University of Michigan, earning both her B.A. in History and M.S. in Educational Psychology.
