labor relations Instructor
Ms. Waskowicz represents both public and private employers in matters relating to labor relations, collective bargaining negotiations, labor arbitrations, personnel and human resources consultation, claims of discrimination and other general employment matters. She also advises clients on matters related to the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the National Labor Relations Act, the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Act, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Pennsylvania Wage and Collection Law. Ms. Waskowicz has represented clients in jury trials, arbitrations, statutory appeals, and she has argued before the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Waskowicz attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and has exclusively practiced employment and labor law since 2006. She is an approved Mediator serving in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Programs for the U.S. District Court of the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Ms. Waskowicz was born in Latrobe PA and attended Amherst College where she was captain and regional All-American of the varsity field hockey team.
