Linda Burkley, APR
Linda has a strong background in local government, having developed communication strategies for over ten candidates at local and state levels. In addition, she was the Chief Executive Officer at the Butler County Chamber of Commerce for ten years before being appointed as Chief Clerk for the County of Butler.
Linda moved into education in 2002, first teaching at Slippery Rock University for three years before moving to Central PA in 2006. Since then, she has been a full-time instructor at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove. Linda’s primary field of instruction is public relations, but she also teaches crisis communications, social media writing, integrated marketing communications (IMC), and strategic event planning.
Linda holds her accreditation (APR) in public relations and has done training for the County Commissioners Association, Capital Area Intermediate Unit, Public Relations Society of America, the University of Phoenix and the National Association of Counties, among others. Linda enjoys the challenge of working with students at all skill levels whether they be traditional age or adult learners.
